Ataúro, March 17, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The Ministry of Justice through a Notary officially inaugurated the Unique Balcony at the Ataúro Administrative Area Office in Maumeta Village, to make it easier for the people of Ataúro to take care of important documents such as Identity Cards, Passports and Birth Certificates. The ceremony was held at Ataúro-villa, Maumeta Village, on last Friday.
In his remarks, the Minister of Justice, Sergio da Costa Hornai said that on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, he congratulates the people of Ataúro, especially the local governments that have gathered here today. Today, the nine governments have gathered together with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of State and other members to hold the launch on this unique balcony.
“Today, we officially launch this Unique Balcony with the aim of bringing the Ministry of Justice closer to the people of Ataúro, and another objective is that we want to strengthen our democracy with the people, we want to advance our country better. Therefore, today the nine governments mark their presence through the Minister of Justice and his Deputy and several deputies and governments to hold the launch here, so that it is easier for the people to take care of their important documents, so that they do not have a headache when they want to take care of documents and do not have to run anywhere.” Said the Minister of Justice, Sergio Hornai
He continued that from the Ministry of Justice, today presenting a digitalization system in Ataúro to facilitate the people of Ataúro, especially in document services. In addition, the Ministry of Justice also presents a digitalization system in all municipalities, in the short term to implement this unique balcony so that people can access everything such as identity cards, passports and birth certificates.
The Head of Ataúro Authority, Mateus Belo added that on behalf of the people of Ataúro, they expressed their happiness and pride to the government, especially the Ministry of Justice which today officially inaugurated this unique balcony, because this unique balcony aims to continue the central government’s services to the community, especially the service of important documents that are very much needed by the community in everyday life such as Identity Cards, Passports, Civil Registration, and Birth Certificates.
“We are very happy with the presence of this unique balcony, this is a very important step, with the presence of this unique balcony it can bring services closer to the people of Ataúro, so that they no longer need to go anywhere just to take care of documents, so they can take care of documents in this place. For people who live in rural areas such as the Minister of Justice and the Minister of State Administration have said that they will facilitate one car here so that members who will go to the village in order to facilitate the community to take care of their documents and they do not need to come here but just wait in the village.” Said the Head of the Ataúro Authority
He added that the hope from the launch of this unique balcony is that in the future all people in Ataúro will be able to access the processing of important documents and for elderly women, they will only be able to access it in their village.
The launching ceremony of this unique balcony was attended by the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, including national and international development partners, members of government, the people of Ataúro, and the Regional Government of Ataúro.
