ALFAESA Reactivates Perissos Company

Dili, March 14, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The government through ALFAESA.IP reactivated the Perissos Company so that it can carry out activities as usual and the public can access it because it has met several requirements that have been set so far. This activity was carried out at the Perissos Company, Hudi-Laran, on Wednesday.

The Inspector General of ALFAESA.IP, Odete da Silva Viegas, Dermatologist said that starting from February 15 ALFAESA carried out a very intensive work on the Perissos Company to temporarily close it for business activities, due to violations of the committee but today it has been reopened because it has complied with the requirements.

“On February 15, we detected many irregularities in the Perissos company committee so that the team could seal on the 19th in the Leafa and Hudi-laran warehouses. The sealing was carried out because the ALFAESA team identified irregularities in health and ventilation and expired products, so we carried out an assessment action in the form of a temporary sealing for one to three months.” Said ALFAESA.IP general inspector, Odete da Silva Viegas

She continued, the purpose of this is to provide an opportunity for the company to improve the procedures that have been carried out by ALFAESA, but the company did not comply with the regulations, so it carried out sealing so that the company could continue to carry out work activities, so that ALFAESA was informed regarding the re-examination of the service that had been carried out by the company several months ago.

“The ALFAESA team together with the joint team conducted a third re-examination of the Perissos company, the last day yesterday, the total recommendations given to the Perissos company were 22 and they were able to meet the requirements, so we decided to give them the opportunity to carry out business activities as usual so that the public can access it.” She said.

She added that, however, the administrative process for the ordination was still ongoing because it had been notified to 11 companies, meaning that within 30 days they could submit their resources and accept the rules provided by ALFAESA. If the company did not accept, they had to explain why they did not accept it, so that ALFAESA could impose fines for violations committed by the committee.

On the other hand, the representative of the Perissos Company said that based on the results of the inspection conducted by ALFAESA on February 15, it was identified that the company had committed violations based on the point of view of 22 items which constituted violations of the law, resulting in a temporary decision, which is starting February 19, to make improvements to items that conflict with ALFAESA regulations.

“On February 15 ALFAESA identified that we were in violation from ALFAESA’s perspective and identified 22 items that were in violation, thus causing the notice of interim decision to be initiated on February 19 asking us to correct this place to comply with the order of items of the interim decision decided by ALFAESA.” Said company representative, Cancio Freitas

He continued, the deadline given by ALFAESA to the company to make repairs to the premises is 30 days, to repair the violated items, if it meets the requirements then ALFAESA can reopen business activities as usual.

He further explained that previously ALFAESA together with other joint teams reactivated the Perissos company to continue running their business activities again, meaning that from now on and in the future it is free to run their business activities because they have met the requirements set by the committee.
