APORTIL COLLOCATE SOKATO CAR FROM DILI PORT TO TASI-TOLU

Dili, February 10, 2025 (Média Democracia) – APORTIL will unload all the damaged Sokato cars to Tasi-tolu because so far the cars have been stopped for a long time at Dili port to block the place of transportation that wants to leave for Oecusse and Atauro.

According to Vogal I APORTIL.IP, Julio Saldanha Bareto, currently APORTIL is working with Castam APORTIL to prepare a place in Tasi-tolu, to clean up garbage in the form of sokato cars and other garbage that stop at the port of Dili, in order to prepare a parking for transportation and individuals.

“We are working with Castam to prepare a place at Draiport Seko Port in Tasi-tolu, so that we can move all the trash such as cars, trucks, excavators, ships and others that are damaged, because so far we have seen that the trash always fills the place. However, previously we have sent a letter to Castam, because everything must be based on a letter from the Prime Minister before it can be allocated.” He said.

He continued, the empty place is also based on a letter from the Prime Minister, so the goods can be moved to the Draiport Seko Port in Tasi-tolu, because the short-term plan is to prepare the place for parking in the future.

“This place in the short term will be redeveloped as a parking lot to prepare cars and motorbikes that will travel to the Special Region of Oecusse, Ambeno, RAEOA and Atauro will all park in this place, so to prepare for the trip.” He added.

He added that APORTIL has plan plan to create a parking area, because so far public and private transportation during trips to Oecusse and Atauro always causes congestion in the port, so they have to prepare a parking area for cars and motorbikes to park in their respective places.

Vogal I APORTIL.IP further explained that based on existing data, there are 52 sokato trucks to be moved to Draiport Seko Port in Tasi-tolu, 12 excavator positions and 12 containers, 2 ships including heavy goods, all of which will be moved, so that the place can be emptied.
