Dili Aeroplane Launches New Routes to Malasya and Australia

Dili, 27 February 2026 (Média Democracia) – Aero Dili held a press conference regarding the Launch of New Routes, thus, Aero Dili’s airplanes will also travel to Malasya and Australia.

According to the Aero Dili President Lourenço de Oliveira, on March 28th this year, Aero Dili will make its first flight to Malasya and according to the schedule it will fly on Tuesday and Saturday.

“Today I invited the media here to inform that Aero Dili airplanes will fly on March 28, 2026 to Malaysia, our first flight will be twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday. So it departs from Timor-Leste at 8:00 am to Malaysia and returns from Malaysia at 12:00 pm to Timor-Leste.” Said Aero Dili President Lourenço de Oliveira

Aero Dili President informs, on May 24th this year there will also be flights to Australia and according to the schedule, Aero Dili airplanes will travel on Tuesday and Sunday.

“On May 24th this year, we will have flights to Australia, particularly to Darwin, and the schedule is on Tuesday and Sunday. On Tuesdays, the plane departs at 2:00 pm, then stays overnight in Darwin and at 4:00 pm the plane will return to Timor, then on Sundays the plane flies to Darwin at 8:00 am and at 9:30 am it will transit in Denpasar Bali then continue to Darwin.” Informs Aero Dili President

The President further stated, there are also hospitals in Indonesia very enthusiastic to receive patients from Timor-Leste for treatment at Mahkota Medical Center about 30% can be transferred to the said hospital.

“There is also a place we went to, Mahkota Medical Center in Malacca, Indonesia, they are very enthusiastic to receive patients from our nation Timor-Leste, and our airplane will also take sick people for treatment at Malacca Hospital in Indonesia, and also from Malaysia they can transfer patients to Malacca, Indonesia, extending like others about 30% to transfer them to Mahkota Medical Center Hospital in Malacca, Indonesia. I think our nation Timor-Leste is served already, because we are just starting. Besides that, we also cooperate and work together with Mahkota Medical Center Hospital in Indonesia. So if there are Timorese people who are sick, they can get treatment at the said hospital.” States Aero Dili President Lourenço de Oliveira

Aero Dili President Lourenço de Oliveira further emphasized, in the future they will add more flights to the Philippines and Thailand depending on the market,if possible they can add more airplanes to be able to fly directly to Korea.

Meanwhile, according to International Airport Standards, each airplane should make about 300 hours of flight per month.
