Dili, February 26, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The National Institute for HIV-AIDS Prevention continues to provide training to “10 de Dezembro” students with a total of more than 300 students on how to prevent themselves from the HIV-AIDS virus. This activity was carried out on Monday.
According to the President of the National Institute for HIV-AIDS Prevention, Daniel Marçal, many students are infected with HIV because most of their minds are weak, they have good value and insights but do not use these insights to change their dreams because their minds are weak.
“I said that students’ mind are weak, because they only think about enjoying the world, so many people are infected with HIV. Many young girls who get pregnant and marry early, and throw away babies are not a problem of the mind, but they cannot apply it in their minds. We want to strengthen their mentality so that they have good insight, because through training like this they can achieve a good future.” Said the President of the National Institute for HIV-AIDS Prevention, Daniel Marça
He continued that through this training, it can change the mindset of students and youth because they are the next generation of the nation, they are the ones who bring benefits and progress to the country, Timor Leste.
“Although many parents try hard and are even willing to not eat and drink just to get a little money to invest in their children’s school, because they want to ensure their children’s future. However, currently many children and young people are free and do not think about their future to develop for this country.” He said
He added that this training is to provide insight and concentration to students so that they continue to learn, even though there are many obstacles, but still try, be patient and hold back their feelings so that in the future they can enjoy it.
“Seeing the problem, previously coordinated with the school of 10 de Dezembro, and felt that this problem was a very important concern, so INCSIDA is here to provide information to students so that they can increase their insight to prevent themselves from HIV-AIDS so that in the future they can enjoy life well.” He said.
As the school principal of 10 de Dezembro, Antonio Rangel Pinto said that the training provided by INCSIDA to students at this school is very important because they are the new generation, so they can change their mindset to prevent themselves from HIV.
“I feel that the training given by INCSIDA to these students is very important, because previously the Head of INCSIDA said that there is no cure to permanently eliminate the HIV-AIDS virus. Therefore, through the social action they provide training to teenagers and students can prevent themselves from having free sex to avoid this virus.” He said
He added that the school felt flattered by the program held by INCSIDA to provide training to students related to HIV-AIDS, currently there are many young people and students who are still infected with the virus, for that INCSIDA was asked to continue to provide information like this to young people and students in the future, so that their future can shine and be brilliant so that it can bring progress to the country of Timor-Leste.
