Dili, January 18, 2025 (Média Democracia) – INCSIDA.IP continues to share training with students at the Escola Tecnico Vocacional 28 de Novembro Becora on the eradication of the HIV/AIDS virus in Timor-Leste.
According to the President of INCSIDA.IP, Daniel Marçal, this kind of training is very important for students because previously it was very difficult to access information on how to prevent themselves from HIV/AIDS and other diseases.
“It was very difficult for us to access training like this, but at that time it was also very difficult for people to get HIV/AIDS because they were not dating to have free sex. We were dating without having to meet every day and to have sex it was very difficult to meet because we had to ask permission from other people to say hello when dating. At that time no one married young and abandoned babies were among those infected with HIV/AIDS,” said INCSIDA.IP President Daniel Marçal
He continued, that even though nowadays many young people and students always access various training, the HIV/AIDS virus in the country is increasing, because now the world is modern so that many people use telephones to access various things that have an impact on their minds until the desire to have free sex arises, thus making the spread of HIV/AIDS even more widespread.
“Currently, HIV/AIDS is still spreading in this country, but we, INCSIDA.IP, continue to provide training to students on how to prevent themselves from HIV/AIDS in this country to reduce free sex,” he said.
He added that the reality now is different from before, because in the past they did not receive various training but were not affected by HIV/AIDS, but now they always receive training but many students do not want to divide their time to make better use of the time they have now, but they waste that time as if it has no value for their future.
In addition, last year INCSIDA.IP recorded that there were 2042 cases of HIV/AIDS virus that occurred in our country because currently from the 15th to the 30th many people have been infected with HIV/AIDS, the fault is not from parents, the government and INCSIDA.IP but the fault of the individual themselves because they do not know how to prevent themselves from having free sex.
The principal of Escola Tecnico Vicacional 28 de Novembro Becora, Tomas Pinto said that the school needs to disseminate the interesting information that INCSIDA shared with students regarding the HIV/AIDS virus on how to combat and prevent it in the country.
“HIV/AIDS is very dangerous for human life, especially for the health of students and the younger generation because this disease is invisible and difficult to cure, but believe me, through individual behavior and attitudes, they can become adults and free from HIV/AIDS.” Said the Principal.
He continued, so far students studying at Escola Tecnico Vocacional 28 de Novembro Becora believe that they do not have HIV/AIDS.
To further explain that Escola Tecnico Vocacional 28 de November Becora has been facing obstacles such as a lack of productive teaching staff because the orientation that is currently running is somewhat far from the superior’s schedule because it accepts new students this year totaling 185 people with a fairly long time and has just completed orientation and training from INCSIDA.IP
