Dili, October 3, 2024 (Média Democracia) – The Ministry of Public Administration held a handover ceremony to the Laclo and Laclubar Administrations from the Manatuto municipal authorities under the theme, “Impulsionar a descentralização para promover a coesão territorial” (Boost decentralization to promote territorial cohesion).. The handover ceremony was held at the MAE VIP hall.
In an interview with the Post-Administartion of Laclo, Filomeno Rodrigues Pereira Carceres said that first of all he would like to thank all parties and also the government. He just wanted to say that today’s activity is a very important handover ceremony for both of them to gain the trust of the Ministry to lead in the Post-Administration of Laclo and Laclubar.
“It is a great honor for me to have this trust, to assume the responsibility to carry out work at the base of community residences in rural and remote areas, therefore collaborating to identify what problems the community faces in their residences and also prioritizing development in their residences, so that it can reduce the problems they face in their daily lives.” The statement was delivered by the Post-Administration Laclo, Filomeno Rodrigues Pereira Carceres
He continued, his hope is that in the future he can work well with the community and will synergize with the local authorities in order to solve the problems faced by the community and build good development in the future.
On the other hand, Minister of Public Administration Tomas Do Rosario Cabral added, today we are here to participate in this activity, in which the Ministry gives its trust to the two governments that will lead in Laclo and Laclubar in Manatuto, therefore this activity is very important for all of us.
“On behalf of the government, I ask the two officials who have just received the handover to return to the municipality to work together with the community to find problems that have occurred in the community and also to serve the community wholeheartedly, so that the community can live well,” He said.
He continued, currently both of you have shouldered a great responsibility to serve the community in your respective Municipality, working together with the community to reduce various fundamental problems faced by the community and both of you have conducted direct observations, for that reason the two regional governments are asked to work together with the community to advance Manatuto, especially Laclo and Laclubar.
The recommendation from the Ministry of Public Administration for the two governments to return to their respective municipality to work together with the community to improve the quality of the municipality and also the lives of the community because development will not run if the government does not work together with the community, for that reason the two governments are asked to collaborate with local authorities and also communities in rural and remote areas.
