In her remarks, MBRF representative Lita Flora Amaral said that World Food Day serves as a reminder to everyone that nutritious and balanced food is the key to a healthy life and community resilience. In Timor-Leste, MBRF adopted the slogan “Healthy Food – Healthy Family” to encourage households and parents to educate children and students about the importance of healthy eating.
“The celebration in Dili includes a cooking competition for the best chicken satay dish, cooking demonstrations, and talks on nutrition that encourage families to choose healthy meals using local, affordable ingredients, combined with high-quality protein such as MBRF’s products, Sadia, Borella, Sadix, and Perdigão. MBRF supports this initiative as part of its commitment to food education, sustainability, and promoting well-being for future generations,” said MBRF representative Lita Flora Amaral.
