MNLAC Holds Reclamation And Dispute Data Analysis Convector Meeting

Dili, March 18, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The Ministry of National Liberation Affairs of Combatants (MNLAC) held a convector meeting with commissioners from the City Government regarding reclamation data and disputes that have now entered the national level. The meeting was held at the Três de Março Maubai hall, MNLAC office, Comoro, Dili.

In an interview with the Ministry of National Liberation Affairs of Combatants, Jil da Costa Monteiro “Oan Soru” he told the public that today’s meeting was to make some assessments regarding the 60 days to receive the reclamations and disputes sent from all the municipalities and also see the forms because so far those that accompany in some parts of the documents are still not all here, so the MNLAC is still looking and has not yet made a final decision to publish to the public regarding the short extension of time, because it is based on the law.

“The law is not only Article 18 that I usually issue, but another law that states that the Government has the authority to make decisions related to activities related to certain documents, so the Government needs to decide,” said the MNLAC Minister.

He added that because the Minister and Secretary General cannot just decide, they must call a meeting with the DKI Provincial Government, the President and the Vice President, so that in that meeting they can reach a decision to grant an extension to the data.

“We also see the pending data from 2003 to 2005, we try to collect them together so that we can provide a solution to this pending data, because this data is very old and some time ago this reclamation and dispute had no deadline, no time limit, and now in today’s meeting we try to collect them together to find a solution based on existing regulations and articles so that it can be informed or published to the public.” He continued.

He further said that today, together with commissioners from various regions, he will unite ideas and hear input from them to find a joint solution regarding reclamation data and disputes that have now reached the national level.
