MSSI HANDOVERS HEAD POSITION TO A TOTAL OF 142

Dili, February 8, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion handed over the positions of head and director to 142 employees from the national to municipality levels.

The importance of accepting the handover is to symbolize two meanings, such as through legal channels in the agency and employees taking every contest occupied in the head position.

“Compliance with the legal rights and responsibilities that have been established in the law is a process that comes from the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion, because based on your qualities and public functions commission makes deliveries based on your qualities.” Said the President of the Public Commission, Letêncio de Deus

He explained that in the second sense, what is important is that there is acceptance from each individual who signs first during the handover period.

“Thank you also to the Minister who has accompanied the signing, through this signing as proof that the all of you has truly accepted the duties and functions of the state as a servant of the community and the state and the authority based on the Law to serve and carry out duties for the interests of the state,” he explained.

He continued that at this moment as a challenge for the inaugurated officials how to ensure the direction, unity in the operator work units they lead must function effectively, collaborate with each other, be responsible and highly dedicated in order to contribute to achieving the goals of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Solidarity and Inclusion.

On that occasion, the Minister of Social Solidarity and Inclusion, Verónica das Dores said that the handover of the position of the head was carried out because of the policy of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion which was adapted from this country, not every official always changes the position of head to see the progress of the work.

“Previously I have said that learning exists, their desire is that every year every person who holds a leadership position must know the inauguration process for the leadership position and work, that’s what I learned from the government’s presentation, and I also feel that our MSSI is trying to improve its performance internally, not all but at least there are some that we change and some that we maintain.” Said the Minister.

She informed that the position of head that was handed over was from the coordinator of Post-Administration, including RAEOA.

“Today is the handover from the coordinator to each administrative post, this is what we do, for some administrative posts in Timor-Leste there are still none, because you heard there are 142 people from national to municipal but in 10 posts are still empty and those who already existed before, and also we include 4 RAEOA coordinators, 4 administrative posts, 1 Director, 2 Heads of Department and heads of sections, but all have different diplomas.” She said
