New Cadets PNTL 2025 Demand PM and MI to Annul Entire Test for New Cadets 2025

Dili, 27 February 2026 (Média Democracia) – Representatives of the PNTL 2025 new cadets have already submitted a petition letter to the Ministry of Interior (MI) and the Prime Minister (PM) but there’s still no good result regarding the annulment of the 2025 new Cadets test.

PNTL new cadet representative, Cejerisio Ramos, stated that the petition letter has been submitted to the National Parliament (PN) and the Prime Minister (PM), especially the new PNTL cadets test must be totally annulled.

“Regarding the polemic that the candidates are facing, as a spokeperson representative, we are here with our position that there should be a total annulment of the recruitment process, and this will respond to the candidates’ demands, because according to us, the petition letter that was submitted to the National Parliament and the Prime Minister is to totally annul, then establish an independent international commission because the previous commission created injustice and discrimination. As the people, our position is that we join forces with EUTL to conduct vigilance of the whole process which is now suspended for 20 days.” Said PNTL new cadet representative, Cejerisio Ramos

The new cadet representative continued, the decision isn’t in line with the PNTL new cadets’ wishes, so they will make a last resort and take peaceful action againts the Ministry of Interior and the Prime Minister, because accroding to the PNTL new cadets’ observation this Ministerial Diploma is a big betrayal to the people and all citizens.

We are against this not against a subject, but we are against the system, we have to fight it now, so it doesn’t happen again in the future, so we come with a clear position asking the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior to make an approciate decision and totally annul according to our demand.” Stated the PNTL new cadet representative

The representative futher emphasized, “If there’s no total annulment, they will take peaceful action against the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior, so they asks the PM and the MI to think carefully before making a decision, and the new cadets reject decisions that create injustice.

Meanwhile, the PNTL new cadet representative is asking the Council of Ministers to make a decision within the 20-day period, to make an approciate decision to totally annul as requested in the submitted petition, otherwise, the PNTL new cadets will take peaceful action against the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior.
