Dili, 18 March 2026 (Média Democracia) – Dili Municipality PNTL Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police, Orlando Gomes reports the incident happened in Fomento early Saturday, Dom Aleixo Squad Command immediately conducted an operation.
There’s a recent case that happened in Fomento near the elemloi, at 6:30 in the morning, Dom Aleixo Squad went down to conduct an operaton for the incident and the victims also went to Dom Aleixo squad for identification process. In this case, we can say that after investigation process, we can know the truth.
Dili Municipality PNTL Commander Orlando Gomes added, the motive behind the incident is not yet known as the investigation is still ongoing. Meanwhile, the Dili Municipality Command isn’t yet able to disclose whether the case involved groups or individuals.
“We can’t yet disclose whether it was from which group, but through the investigation process, we can identify.” said Dili Municipality PNTL Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police, Orlando Gomes.
After the incidents, Dom Aleixo Squad Command immediately secured 4 suspects.
Dili Municipality Commander informed to journalist that, Dili Municipality Command has instructed the team to investigate the case and identify the victims who were injured and houses that that damaged.
“I got the information and I instructed them to investigate, to do job seriously, regarding this incident, to take statements from the victims who were injured, and those whose houses were damaged, to take their statements for the process.” affirms Dili Municipality PNTL Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police.
Meanwhile, for the case, Dili Municipality Command has submitted it to the Public Ministry to process according to justice.
