Dili, 28 January 2026 (Media Democracia) – The National Police of Timor-Leste, dili Municipality is prepared to secure Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albese during his vsit to Timor-Leste from January 28 to 29, 2026.
“Regarding the visit of the Australian Prime Minister to Timor-Leste, the Dili Municipality Command has received operational directives from the General Command, and the Dili Municipality Commnad has prepared a specific plan. Specially the tactics to be implemented on the ground to secure the visit,”come and go safely” said Superintendent Orlando Gomes To Journalist at PNTL Dili Municipality Command, Dom Aleixo, Tuesday this week (27/01).
PNTL Dili Municipality Commnader said the Dili Municipality Command has placed its members in designated areas according to the Dili Municipality Commnad’s plan, so as to prepare to receive the visit of the Australian Prime Minister to Timor-Leste.
“Therefore, we have placed our members, tomorrow following the plan of the Dili Municipality Command, and will get support from the Special Police Unit, Maritime Police Unit,UPF at the airoport, and our F-FDTL forces, so that visiti of the Australian Prime Minister to Timor-Leste goes well,” said the PNTL dili Municipality Command.
He said according to the security plan, tomorrow, the 28th, members will be placed on the groud to ensure good security so that public travels back and forth safely and successfully.
“I think as we ussualy know, our route is from the airoport to the Presidential Palace, to the Government Palace, that’s our route, which we are ready to secure the roads and we patrol to see about good security,” Orlando Informed.
He reported that security will be maintained along the protocol route, which according to the route start from Nicolau Lobato International Airoport to The Presidential Palace and continues to the Government Palace.
PNTL Dili Municipality Comander, Chief Superintendent Orlando Gomes explained that regarding blocking roads, it will depend on the situation, because the siituation on the ground may justify that some roads can be blocked and some may not, so other roads can be operate normally as usual.
