Dili, February 15, 2025 (Média Democracia) – SEFOPE through the National Direction Temporary Job provides training to trainees from the Training Center of Grace for Development (GFD) with a total of more than 300 people, based on workers who want to work in Australia and South Korea.
The Director of the Grace For Development Training Center, Hilário Gusmão Fraga, expressed his gratitude because GFD received the opportunity from SEFOPE to facilitate training for trainees from the GFD center, especially for young people who want to learn.
“This opportunity is very beautiful for the young people of Timor-Leste who come to study at the training center, it is clear that this training is the role of SEFOPE to convey its role to our young people especially in creating jobs for those who want to be entrepreneurs and those who want to work abroad especially in Australia and South Korea.” Said the Director of the GFD training center
Therefore, the role of SEFOPE comes to provide information to the younger generation, then continued with professional internships whose training carried out for two months in government agencies and private agencies.
He informed that the trainees came from the GFD training center, while the number of trainees was more than 300 people who would take the exam and they were 2025 students.
He emphasized this after hearing information from related parties to talk about entrepreneurship, especially in the business sector and working abroad.
“The work area is to Australia and then to South Korea, this is what they give us, especially to students who have just graduated, if there is an initiative to do business, they communicate it so that it can be a three-month course, here for Korean the duration is six months,” he said.
His hopes is that after completing this training, the young men and women of Timor-Leste will be able to find employment and even work abroad, and some will be able to open up their own employment opportunities for themselves and for the community.
As the Direction of the National Temporary Job Professional Techniques SEFOPE, Cezaltino de Jesus Guterres said that the role of SEFOPE in general is training and employment, its three main targets are trainees from training centers, high school graduates, and professional engineering graduates.
“Our target is programs that are in line with their training and employment needs, not only domestically but also abroad, this is for areas where the training participants graduate from training centers and also professional technical schools and general high schools,” he said.
He informed that his party has a program called the High Job Program which targets job training centers to improve trainees skills.
“So they can further improve their abilities and can create their own jobs, so that when their business or work is running smoothly, they can also provide jobs to those in need, it can be said that they have contributed to reducing unemployment in our country,” he said.
He further informed that the training that has been provided to students from the GFD training center only discusses three things, which is Job Training and Employment, where before entering the world of work, they must first undergo training, in order to get a decent and dignified job and must be based on employment laws and regulations issued by SEFOPE.
