SEFOPE Releases Online Vacancy Results for New Zealand Labour Mobility Program

Dili, October 21, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The Secretariat of State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE), through the National Directorate of Foreign Employment (DNEE), announced the recruitment process for the Recognized Seasonal Employer (RSE) Scheme for youth seeking employment in New Zealand. The announcement event was held on Monday of this week.

In an interview, SEFOPE Director General Carlito do Rosário Cabral stated that today SEFOPE officially released the recruitment process for the labour mobility program, as well as published the list of candidates eligible for the interview phase (English language test).

“From the online vacancy application period that was open for five days, from 8 to 12 September 2025, we received a total of twenty thousand eight hundred fifty-nine (20,859) applications. After document verification for the New Zealand online vacancy test according to SEFOPE’s criteria, two thousand one hundred and eighty-six (2,186) candidates have passed and are selected,” said Director General Carlito do Rosário Cabral.

He further explained that SEFOPE has prepared data by municipality for the selected online applicants for New Zealand vacancies.

Meanwhile, for the applications that did not pass, a total of eighteen thousand six hundred eighty-eight (18,688), the reasons included not meeting SEFOPE’s criteria or having incomplete documents. For those selected, they will now proceed to the interview phase, through which SEFOPE will assess the candidates’ level of English proficiency, and SEFOPE will prepare a shortlist accordingly.
