Dili, 27 January 2026 (Média Democracia) – The office of Provedor for Human Rights and Justice (PDHJ), togheter with the team, held a press conference to inform to the public about the location of the PDHJ’s provisional office. As of today, PDHJ’s work activities will be carried out at the Hotel Excelsior Resorport Pante-Kelapa Dili.
The Provedor for Human Rights and Justice(PDHJ) Virgilo Da Silva Gutterres”Lamukan” said, today we will update to the public that PDHJ will temporarily use Hotel Excelsior Resorport Pante-Kelapa Dili, because currently the PDHJ building in caicoli is under construction.
“I want to inform the public that the PDHJ building in caicoli currently under construction, and the tender processs is ongoing this month. Therefore, starting today, PDHJ will carry out it’s activities at the provisional office at Hotel Excelsior Resorport Pante-Kelapa Dili. As provisional building, I would like to appreciate the government for being able to improve the construction of the new bulding in caicoli.” Said Provedor for Human Rights and Justice(PDHJ) Virgilo Da Silva Gutterres “Lamukan”
The Provedor for Human Rights and Justice(PDHJ) added, to inform that, in this location temporarily the deputy provedors and some directions are in the hotel building, mainly near the reception, in Public Assistance(DAP), rights at the main entrance. Therefore, the public is requested,if they have any problems and want to file a camplaint, they can come to Hotel Excelsior Resorport Pante-Kelapa Dili.
“ I alson think the most important directions is the public assistance, so I ask to the people and citizens who want to file a complaint, come to the Hotel Excelsior Resorport, right at the main entrance, on the right side, Public Assistanve is there for everyone.” Added the Provedor for Human Rights and Justice(PDHJ).
The Provedor reports, on this occasion to inform the public that PDHJ’s office has moved to Pante-Kelapa at Hotel Excelsior Resorport , because caicoli is now cleared folowing the completion of the tender process to get a contractor, and the construction process is about to start, with a budget of nearly 8 million.
“I think normally the tender process is done, but the winning company hasn’t been anounced to the public yet, and what’s the name of company that won the project, what’s the budget, and what’s the duration. But I think the project is already underway, they will just put up the board. Futher explaining regarding the press conference held by Provedor for Human Rights and Justice (PDHJ) to inform the public that currently PDHJ will carry out its activities temporarily at Hotel Excelsior Resorport Pante-Kelapa Dili due to the PDHJ building in caicoli undergoing new contruction, and the building will be returned to caicoli once completed.
