SECOOP HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE ON PUBLIC SUBVENTION COMMISSION WITHIN THE STATE SECRETARY OF COOPERATIVES IN 2025

Dili, January 28, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The Secretary of State for Cooperatives held a press conference on Public Subvention within the scope of the Secretary of State for Cooperatives in 2025, and the National Politics of Constitutional Government IX stated that economic diversification and job creation are government priorities, as are social capital, infrastructure development and economic development based on effective and transparent institutional quadrants based on the principles and values ​​we choose. The Press Conference was held at the SECOOP hall in Akait, Dili on Monday.

According to MC, Marta de Araújo, the fundamental foundation that focuses more on the Secretary of State for Cooperatives is address the National Politics of the IX Constitutional Government to initiate the SECOOP strategic plan for 2023 to 2028 with the vision of building a just, prosperous and sustainable society.

“In the annual action plan and financial plan of SECOOP 2025 that has been approved in the National Parliament, the strategy for developing cooperatives in rural areas is set out with the aim of improving the family economy as a basis for national economic development, based on the government’s national program, the SECOOP strategic plan and the annual action plan set out above, as a fundamental reason for the Secretary of State for Cooperatives to continue the political compromise of Manifest IX of the Constitutional Government.” MC said.

She emphasized that in accordance with Law-Decree Number 79/2023 dated October 11, it is stated that the Secretary of State for Cooperatives is given the attribution to strengthen and mobilize the initiative group, cooperative, association and mutualism movements to ensure community participation in increasing family economic growth.

“Decree of Law Number 39/2024 dated November 27 concerning Regulations on Subsidies, Subvention and Public Donations which states that the implementation of public subsidy funds must have transparency and publication of the secretary of state for cooperatives announced to the public through social media, especially on the SECOOP Facebook page to include the legal criteria for public subsidies 2025 but unfortunately the application that was announced/published cannot be accessed so once again through a press conference I want to convey a solution to social economic bodies, associative groups, foundations, cooperatives, if interested, they can submit a proposal to the office of the secretary of state for cooperatives in Akait, Dili office.” She emphasized.
