Dili, February 10, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The Administrator of the National Communications Authority of Timor-Leste (ANCTL) in collaboration with JICA provided an ICT technical seminar at the Indonesian Cultural Center (PBI), Mascarinas.
National Telecommunications Authority, Novelino dos Santos said that this seminar activity is very important about Cyber Security to publicize and fight collectively to fight against ignorance and fight for how to improve better technical knowledge about cyber media.
“Today’s activity we talk about a cybersecurity seminar to publicize and fight collectively and against ignorance how to improve better technical knowledge about cyber media, something important is that this seminar activity all ICT techniques participate, one to improve their knowledge and increase their capacity how to know fight and in this preparation prepare technical and identified gaps that are important for cybercrime attacks, so this as a term to ensure data and techniques.” Said the National Telecommunications Authority, Novelino dos Santos
He continued, his party is collaborating with JICA to strengthen better bilateral relations and learn from experts on cybernetics.
“Usually, in technology development cooperation, this cooperation with JICA is to strengthen our bilateral relations and we can also learn a lot from experts from Indonesia who will share a little of their technical knowledge in areas that discuss the eradication of cybercrime and strategies with a more detailed technical approach, we will be accompanied directly to ensure an independent future and free from attacks which comes from cybercrime.” He continued.
He said that this was a good opportunity and asked all participants to better study the knowledge shared by international cyber experts because it can be a guideline and prepare ourselves in the future.
“All participants on this occasion, learned the knowledge shared by international cyber experts, starting from the intelligence they shared as a guide to the technical to better prepare themselves in the future to develop technological issues in Timor-Leste.” He added.
He emphasized that to ensure the independence of sovereignty not to carry out attacks on any institutions called Hackers, this is a good opportunity for ICT technicians to learn and improve their capacity.
To explain better that the National Telecommunication Authority Administrator technique cooperates with JICA to provide training on Cyber Security to ICT techniques to improve their capacity and knowledge in the field of cyber media, so that they can ensure in any institution in Timor-Leste.
