Dili, December 29, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The Government, through the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (MKAE), together with the National Logistics Center (CLN), held a coordination meeting on the evaluation of service performance for all CLN, I.P. staff. The activity took place at the CNE Hall in Colmera today.
The MKAE Coordinator General for Environment and Tourism, Jorge Rui de Carvalho Martins, stated that today’s activity was conducted to carry out performance evaluations of institutions such as the National Logistics Center, Indimo, IADE, and Alfaesa, which routinely undertake annual performance assessments.
“Today I have stated that the Government has entrusted each institution with responsibility for annual performance evaluations, in order to assess the overall progress of services carried out throughout the year,” said MKAE Coordinator General for Environment and Tourism, Jorge Rui de Carvalho Martins.
The MKAE Coordinator General emphasized that each institution should not allow personal egoism to influence the workplace. Government institutions exist to serve people with competence, not to serve individuals without the necessary professional knowledge.
“We need people with competence to carry out the work, not because a certain group is in power and claims ownership over an institution. That must not happen, because institutions belong to the Government and the people. Not all citizens belong to political groups, but the people are the Government and the Government is the people. This is what we must strive for in this meeting, and I expect all civil servants to take responsibility for the role of their respective institutions,” he stressed.
He further stated that many institutions fail to perform well because they are treated as personal property, without recognizing that they belong to all citizens. Therefore, all staff are urged to carry out their duties with responsibility.
“We must dedicate ourselves to serving the people, to improving the quality of our services according to the real needs of the population. We must continue striving forward, with the hope that all institutions can perform their duties with quality, in line with the priority programs set by the Government,” the Coordinator General added.
He also noted that institutions often speak of collective communities and collective service. Teamwork means that individuals, especially those in administrative roles, must work professionally, lead service teams with patience, and focus on a single objective: achieving institutional goals for the future.
Meanwhile, the President of the National Logistics Center (CLN), António de Araujo Soares, stated that today the CLN, together with the Government through the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, conducted this coordination meeting to evaluate the performance of all CLN staff.
“This meeting was held to assess our service performance over the past year by presenting performance reports from each directorate, so that we can collectively review and clearly understand the work carried out by each directorate throughout the year,” said CLN President António de Araujo Soares.
The CLN President explained that over the course of the year, each directorate experienced both strengths and weaknesses in service delivery. However, during this year, all services were carried out normally without any major failures between directorates.
He further explained that this coordination meeting was organized by the National Logistics Center (CLN) with the participation of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (MKAE) to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of service performance carried out by the National Logistics Center over the past year.
