XKS Officially Receives Donation of Basic Necessities from the Royal Thai Embassy

Dili, December 31, 2025 (Media Democracia) – The Head of the Civil Household of the President of the Republic officially received a donation of basic necessities from the Royal Thai Embassy today, marking the Christmas and New Year season. This activity was accessed by Media Democracia from the Presidential Palace (PR) page on Wednesday.

The Head of the Civil Household of the President of the Republic, Jesuína Maria Ferreira Gomes, stated that the activity was led by Ambassador Atipat Rojanapaibulya and his spouse. The contribution includes 10 sacks of rice (20 kilograms each), 10 packs of cooking oil (4 liters each), and hygiene equipment such as one box of bathing soap, one box of toothpaste, one box of toothbrushes, and two boxes of powdered detergent. This gesture is part of a long-standing partnership aimed at providing humanitarian support to the most vulnerable citizens throughout the country.

“This assistance can truly help people in need, such as orphanages and communities that lack basic necessities. Through this support, we can help those who are most in need,” said Head of the Civil Household Jesuína Maria Ferreira Gomes.

She also praised the continued commitment of the Royal Thai Embassy, noting that its support is not limited to festive periods but also includes various humanitarian projects throughout the year. The Presidency’s Social Services Unit will ensure the rapid and transparent distribution of these goods.

“The donated items will be distributed through the social programs of the Presidency of the Republic, which are managed by the Civil Society and Social Affairs Service Unit (SSSAS), with the aim of responding to urgent requests from communities,” she affirmed.

Further explaining the activity as part of strengthening Presidential social initiatives through Christmas donations, she emphasized that these initiatives are directed toward citizens with limited resources. The Presidency of the Republic seeks to ensure that the spirit of Christmas is transformed into concrete support and genuine relief for families facing hardship.
