DILI, 07 March 2026 ( Média Democracia) – Professor from Public Secondary School Jerál Filiál Dom Martinho Balibo Five, Francisco da Costa Tilman, expresses appreciation to the INCSIDA team for the information and materials that were socialized to the students, aren’t applied in the teaching program.
Public Secondary School Jerál Filiál Dom Martinho Balibo Five, Francisco da Costa Tilman said they’re proud of the INCSIDA program because the material isn’t taught in school.
“Our appreciation to the national team that came to sensitize about this program in our Administrative Post Balibo Vila, especially to Public Secondary School Jerál Filiál Dom Martinho Balibo Five. We’re happy and proud because this program itself isn’t in our teaching program, making it hard for students to learn, but through your presence via this sensitization, we think this will awaken our student kids, as most of them are between 15 to 18 years old,” said Professor Francisco at the Parish Hall Balibo this Friday (06/03/2026).
That’s why, at this age, we consider HIV-AIDS a risk to their lives, especially with free sex, as Balibo Vila Administrative Post is close to the border area between Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
“Seeing that it’s a border area, we think this is very important for our Secondary School Balibo Five. With this information, it can help our student kids to distance themselves from free sex, dremiscuity, especially at the border where anything can happen and we can’t detect it. But with this sensitization, it can motivate and provide clear information to the student kids,” he said.
INCSIDA President Daniel Marçal said that from Monday to Friday, all activities went well thanks to maximum support from the Bobonaro Municipality Authority.
“We appreciate the contribution from the Bobonaro authorities. If this case is rising, it means authorities need to pay attention because Bobonaro’s free sex issue is big. This reminds authorities what to do to prevent, limit, or combat this free sex behavior,” said the INCSIDA President.
He affirms that the rise in free sex isn’t from people we consider bad, but rather through young people who date and have unhealthy relationships.
“A lot of this happens with young people, students who date and have sexual relationships, so they change sexual partners in their environment or context, making them very risky and increasing new cases in Bobonaro. If free sex continues to rise, it’s a big threat to the community in Bobonaro,” he informed.
During the socialization activity, student João Vasco Soares was very happy because through INCSIDA’s socialization, he got information that HIV-AIDS has a bad impact, and from now on he’ll distance himself from dremiscuity and free sex.
Besides that, student Lourdes Ezaquiela Tavares is proud to have accessed HIV-AIDS information, and through this info, she can prevent and distance herself from dremiscuity. The materials also gave prevention ways on how to avoid and not be affected by HIV-AIDS.
