DILI, 09 March 2026 (Média Democracia) – Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE), Launches Portal for Workers, so workers can access online and also come directly to the office or manual.
According to Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE) Rogério Araújo Mendonça stated, the launch of the worker portal is very important to establish a labor strategic unit on how our officials who work for the PALM program work with a system and database.
“Today we launched the worker portal which is very important to establish a labor strategic unit on how our officials who work for the PALM program work with a system and work with a database, because looking back over the past few year we’ve been using a system that needs updating, and this new system with the worker portal show that SEFOPE works to guarantee quality, transparency, and ensure good quality, so that everyone nationally, in municipalities, and posts can access.” said Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE) Rogério Araújo Mendonça.
The Secretary of State also informed that this launch will greatly facilitate all worker candidates because before, document from the post, municipality they had bring their documents to the national level, with this opportunity it’s expected that some Timorese have laptop, mobile phone so they can access directly through this portal.
On the other hand, Director of the N ational Directorate of Foreign Employment João Pereira Correia said, the objective of launching the worker portal is to help workers confirm their documents through the portal.
“DNEE’s objective is to launch a portal for workers involved in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) program, including workers whose system started in 2019 until now. SEFOPE through DNEE launches a portal for workers who have opportunities and those who have already got opportunities to work in any nation.” said DNEE Director.
This worker portal allows direct access to their own profiles and to see the status of their processes and what phase they’re at. Workers sometimes come directly to ask for information, but now there are two phases where workers can access online, and for those who don’t understand, they can access manual by coming directly to the office, both national and municipalities. This portal isn’t limited to there, it’ll also be taken to all mumnicipalities so all our Timorese can access it.
