Dili, July 7, 2026 (Media Democracia) – Media Democracia continues to provide opportunities for youth to develop professional skills through its internship program. This week, Media Democracia welcomed new interns from the Universidade Oriental Timor Lorosa’e (UNITAL), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FSSP), Department of Social Communication.
A total of five students have started a professional internship at Media Democracia for one month, consisting of one female and four males. This internship program aims to give students the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they learned at university to journalism and media work in a professional environment.
In addition, Media Democracia also welcomed graduates from the Grace for Development Training Center (GFD) to undertake a two-month internship. This internship is conducted as part of the training process to prepare participants to be ready to enter the workforce.
Media Democracia as an institution will continue to open its doors to students and youth who want to learn and gain experience in the areas of communication, journalism, and digital media.
Through this internship program, Media Democracia hopes that the interns will gain practical experience, strengthen their professional skills, and contribute to the development of the media sector in Timor-Leste.
