Dili, 09 February 2026 (Média Democracia) – National Police of Timor-Leste (PNTL) through the Dili Municipal Cammand received a warrant from the court based on Nuc 0487/25. DIBCR captured two suspects with initials JG in Lautem Municipality and UF in Ainaru.
Dili Municipal Command, Chief Superintendent of Police, Orlando Gomes said, the capture warrant relates to an incident on December 28, 2025, involving cases of violence, sexual coercion, and abduction that occurred in Cristo Rei administrative Post, Hali-Dolar, Hera.
“We have captured two suspects linked to the case that occurred on December 28, 2025, involving violence, sexual coercion, and abduction that happened at the time.” Said PNTL Dili Municipal Commander Orlando Gomes at his office in Aimutin on Friday (06/02)
Dili Municipal Commander added that the case is being processed and the command has been searching for the suspects, and just now received a warrant from the court to capture the two suspects.
“So we executed the court warrant immediately, capturing two suspects. The warrant was for four suspects, but we’ve captured two who fled from Dili Capital. They‘re now being taken to the investigation section command so we can forward to the Court.” Said Dili Municipal Commander
Dili Municipal Commander affirmed PNTL will continue seraching for the other two suspects who are being monitored, and will captured soon. PNTL has also detected the suspects’ whereabouts in other municipalities, so the command is coordinating with muicipal command to make arrests.

PNTL Commander reaffirms the process is proceeding normaly, so PNTL is forwading to the Public Ministry and then to the court, as we received a warrant from the court and executed it, capturing two suspects, with two more still at large.

Meanwhile, on Thursday (05-02-2026), Dili Municipal Investigation Police section captured suspect JG in Lospalos Municipality and brought him to Dili Municipal Command around 6pm. On Friday (06-02-2026), Investigation Section Police continued to capture suspect UF in Ainaru Municipality and brought him to Dili Municipal Comman around 4pm.
The suspects were take to the Vulnerable Person Unit (VPU) police sub-section building and detained in a police cell. Meanwhile the team that captured the two suspects was led directly by Dili Muicipal VPU Chief, Chief Inspector Aniya Quadros.
