57 F-FDTL Members Complete Officer Development Leadership Course

Metinaro, 25 April 2026 (Media Democracia) – 57 members of the F-FDTL completed the Officer Development Leadership Training course and Peace Support training, which received support from the Australian Defence Force through DCP-TL.

These courses were conducted by CTOAP/CICNL over a period of two (2) months, from 23 February until today, 23 April 2026, with a total of 57 participants/trainees from the Components and Units. These training activities received strong support in terms of materials, equipment, and instructors from our Australian Defence Force partners through DCP-TL.” said Chief of General Staff Domingos Raul “Falur Rate Laek”, represented by the General Support Force Commander, Lieutenant Colonel João Bosco Ximenes “Lenok”, in his speech at the CICNL center in Metinaro this Thursday (23/04).

The Lieutenant Colonel said the certificate serves as real proof of the efforts made through capacity, good cooperation, and responsibility over the two-month period.

Today shows good and successful results. The Command is very proud of your efforts. You are not only intelligent, courageous, and disciplined, but also committed to continuing to learn for professional growth in leadership and peace support operations.” said the Lieutenant Colonel.

He affirmed that the fundamental factor that always brings success to course and training activities comes from the good management of the Commander Nicolau Lobato Instruction Center (CICNL).

This, we must all acknowledge. Besides that, as Commander of the General Support Forces, I want to express many thanks for the various kinds of support from the Australian Defence Force through DCP-TL for these training activities, and ask that through DCP-TL they continue to maintain support for these training activities in the future.” he affirmed.

The General Support Force Commander affirmed that the material for the Officer Leadership course is focused on how to prepare officers to command forces for peace support maintenance operations. Most importantly, many subjects are linked to competencies as a company commander.

To our sergeants and enlisted personnel, as commander I confirm that, in the PLATOON PEACE SUPPORT TRAINING material, you learned deeply about individual combat tactical training, collective combat training, training for peace support operation missions, including other specific subjects. So I want to wish you all good use and good luck.” he said.

Therefore, the FAG Commander encouraged the trainees to put into practice the subjects they received during the training.

Your skills and knowledge through daily activities  the various specific subjects you learned must not be lost or stay only with you, but must be shared and passed on to other military colleagues. Knowledge in Officer Development Leadership and Peace Support Training is essential for you.” he added.

On behalf of Chief of General Staff Domingos Raul “Falur Rate Laek”, he expressed gratitude to the trainers from the Australian force who have always provided strong help for the training programs and activities carried out at CICNL, which have shown good results.
