Dili, 29 April 2026 (Media Democracia) – Joint Team Composed of the Criminal Investigation Service Directorate (DSIK), National Intelligence Service (SNI), and Police Information Service (SIP), Captures Five (5) Foreign Citizens Who Were Carrying Out Illegal Drug Transaction Activities (Methamphetamine/Shabu-Shabu) in Dili Municipality.
These foreign citizens consist of one (1) Chinese citizen and four (4) Indonesian citizens, whom the joint team captured in the Comoro and Akadiru-Hun areas.
According to information accessed by Media Democracia from intelligence service personnel, on Monday (27/04) at approximately 07:00 AM OTL, the team conducted an operation to track down the suspects and only managed to capture them at 02:00 AM in the area suspected of being used for illegal drug transaction activities. After capturing these citizens, the team immediately took them to the National Criminal Investigation Service Directorate for investigation and detention.

Meanwhile, this case was registered with different NUKs because the joint team captured the suspects separately and in different locations.
NUK: 153/26 PNSIK refers to the citizens who consumed drugs and were captured in the Comoro area, and NUK: 155/26 PNSIK refers to the citizens who sold or conducted transactions in the Akadiru-Hun area.
In the meantime, regarding this case, Media Democracia journalists attempted to confirm with the PNTL General Command, but have not yet received confirmation because the investigation process is still ongoing.
