Dili, 28 May 2026 (Media Democracia) – Organizers of the Timorese League held a press conference to announce the first matches of the Second Division season, which will bring together four teams for the opening. Lica Lica Lemorai FC will face Hibers Dili FC, while the other match will see Nagardjo FC face AS Ponta Leste.
According to Lica Lica Lemorai’s coach, Tomzo Madeira, the team is ready to compete and show good football.
“Our preparation has been minimal, but we’re ready to compete. I believe my players will show good football and get a good result.” said the Lica Lica Lemorai coach at Dili Stadium (26/05/2026).
The Lica Lica Lemorai coach also stated that all clubs come with the intention to win.
“I think all clubs come with the intention to win, but for Lica Lica, win or lose, it’s within the 90 minutes. When the referee blows the final whistle after 90 minutes that means Lica Lica Lemorai has lost. But as long as we’re still in the competition, Lica Lica hasn’t lost yet.” Tomzo stated.
Additionally, Nagardjo coach Nataniel de Jesus Reis said the players are prepared and they will also use three players from Indonesia.
“We’re still using some of the previous players and adding three new ones from abroad, from Indonesia. With the quality of these players, I believe for tomorrow’s game my players will take the 3 points. It’s always been talked about since 2017 that Nagardjo wants to get promoted to Division 1 but hasn’t managed it. But this year we’ll work hard to move up to Division 1.” said Nataniel.
Besides this, the Timorese League organizers held a press conference to announce the first matches of the Second Division season. In the opening matches, four teams will compete, Lica Lica Lemorai FC vs Hibers Dili FC, and Nagardjo FC vs AS Ponta Leste.
