Revolta Boxing Club Announces the Participation of Timor-Leste Boxers at HSS Bali

Dili, July 22, 2026 (Media Democracia) – The Revolta Boxing Club held a press conference to announce the participation of six Timor-Leste boxing athletes who will represent the country in the Holywings Sport Show (HSS) competition, which will take place in Bali, Indonesia, on 26 July 2026. The conference was also to showcase the athletes’ preparations and to ask for support from the people of Timor-Leste to give motivation to the representatives in the international arena.

According to the Minister of Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MJDAK), Nélyo Isaac Sarmento, who also attended the press conference, this event will not take place in Timor but at the HSS Holywings Sport Show in Bali, Indonesia.

In this boxing event, although it is not happening in Timor, we will have a group of young Timorese boxers starting to take part in professional boxing in Bali, Indonesia. This event is called the Holywings Sport Show, (HSS), which is promoted by Indonesia as the host for the competition between professional Indonesian boxers and Timor-Leste boxers. We are bringing a group of boxers, six of them in total, in different weight classes, to compete against Indonesian boxers in Bali on 26 July this month. What we want to express through this participation is to give opportunity to all boxers in Timor who want to go professional as a space to show their performance in boxing itself.” said MJDAK Minister Nélyo Isaac (21/07/2026).

He further stated that he hopes the Timor-Leste delegation will take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the organization of professional boxing events from promoters in Indonesia. He hopes that this experience can open the way for Timorese athletes to access other international competitions and, in the future, Timor-Leste will be able to host its own professional boxing events with invitations to international athletes.

On the same occasion, the CEO and Promoter of Revolta Boxing Club, Sander Sereano, added that participation in HSS is the result of cooperation between Timor-Leste and Indonesian boxing promoters. He also thanked the Timorese athletes who previously achieved results abroad, because they are the ones who opened opportunities for new athletes to receive invitations to international events.

I feel how we seek connections for the athletes, but we also don’t forget the Timorese who competed before in international events, in Bali and also abroad, such as Delio, Daniel and other athletes.” said CEO and Promoter of Revolta Boxing Club, Sander Sereano.

He further stated that Timorese also have potential, which is why promoters from abroad are interested in inviting the athletes. He thanked the athletes who were the first to compete internationally, because they showed and opened the eyes of foreign promoters, who are now interested in inviting more Timorese.

Meanwhile, boxer Delio Anzaqeci Mauzinho stated that he and his colleagues have prepared well to compete at HSS Bali. The main goal is to show good performance and bring a good name to Timor-Leste.

I have prepared well for this competition. All of us want to win and make the people of Timor-Leste proud. With discipline, hard work and good preparation, we believe we can get good results.”  said Delio.

The six Timor-Leste boxing athletes will compete in the Holywings Sport Show (HSS) in Bali, Indonesia, on 26 July 2026, with the hope of showcasing the capability of Timorese athletes and raising the name of Timor-Leste in the professional boxing world.
