Dili, October 31, 2025 (Média Democracia) – The Secretariat Team of the Commission for the Recruitment Process officially released the schedule for examinations for new PNTL agent candidates who have completed the cultural test. The process will continue with physical aptitude tests, professional interviews, and psychological tests starting from 6 November until 31 December 2025 at the Police Training Center, Police Academy in Comoro. The press conference took place at the Police Training Center in Comoro.
The spokesperson of the New Cadet Recruitment Commission, Commander Antonio da Luz, stated that the aptitude test will be carried out based on the amendment of Ministerial Diploma No. 17/2025 (June 25) to Ministerial Diploma No. 37/2025 (October 10), which changes the test results system from eliminatory to accumulative, except for the medical examination, which will still apply the fit or unfit standard.
“We invite all candidates who have already participated in the cultural test to attend the physical aptitude test, professional interview, and psychological test, which will all take place at the Police Training Center, Police Academy Comoro, from 6 November to 31 December 2025,” said Commander Antonio da Luz.
He explained that during the physical, professional, and psychological aptitude tests, the recruitment commission will attend to around 300 candidates per day, divided by municipality, including RAEOA and Atauro. The tests will begin from 6 to 8 November 2025 for candidates from Aileu and Atauro municipalities, with 150 candidates attending in the morning session (07:30–12:30) and 150 candidates in the afternoon session (13:30–17:30).
“In Ainaro Municipality, the tests will run from November 10–13; in Baucau from November 14–17; followed by Bobonaro from November 18–20; Covalima from November 21–22; and for candidates who submitted their documents in Dili at the Police Training Center (CFP), the aptitude test will continue from November 24 to December 1, 2025,” the spokesperson added.
He further stated that from 2 to 9 December, Dili-based candidates who submitted documents at the Dili Municipality will again follow the aptitude tests, continuing with Ermera (Dec 10–12), Lautém (Dec 13–15), Liquiçá (Dec 16–17), Manatuto (Dec 19–20), Manufahi (Dec 22–23), Oecusse (Dec 26–27), and Viqueque (Dec 29–30, 2025).
“When candidates participate in the physical aptitude test in the morning, they will continue with the professional interview in the afternoon, followed by the psychology test. Meanwhile, candidates who take the physical test in the afternoon will continue with the professional interview in the morning of the next day and proceed with the psychology test afterward,” said Commander Antonio da Luz.
He informed that during the physical, professional, and psychological tests, both male and female candidates must bring all necessary documents and materials, such as their original voter card or identity card (BI), the receipt from the cultural test, and each candidate must bring their own food and drinking water during the test at the Police Training Center, Police Academy in Comoro.
“For the physical aptitude test, both male and female candidates are required to wear sports shoes, shorts or training pants, and T-shirts. During the professional interview and psychological test, candidates must wear formal shoes, long pants, short- or long-sleeved shirts, and a tie,” explained Commander Antonio da Luz.
He emphasized that during the aptitude tests, taking photographs is strictly prohibited, and parents or family members are not allowed to accompany candidates inside the testing area for the physical, professional, or psychological tests.
He further explained that for all male and female candidates who have completed the cultural test and will continue to the next aptitude test phase, schedules may change depending on circumstances. Therefore, candidates are urged to maintain communication with the Recruitment Secretariat to confirm their participation in the next tests, all of which will be held at the Police Training Center, Comoro.
