Dili, 14 April 2026 (Media Democracia) – Timor-Leste National Police Spokeperson, Police Chief Superintendent João Belo dos Reis, informed that this Monday, April 13, 2026, the Criminal Investigation Service Directorate (DSIC-Portuguese acronym) executed a warrant from the Dili Court of First Instance with NUC: 0015/2022 PD, to capture three suspect in the fraud seizure case.
“Yesterday the Criminal Investigation Directorate executed a court warrant for three people, but we were only able to detain one person, because the others were not at the location, but thecourt warrant is always valid and when we get information, we will present them to the court.” said DSIK Director João Belo dos Reis to journalists at the PNTL General Headquarters in Caicoli this Tuesday (14/04/2026).
Meanwhile, the suspect in the fraud seizure case with the initials MdC was presented to the Dili Court of First Intance.
“Yesterday we detained the one with the initials MdC and we have already presented him to the court, and we’re still searching for the whereabouts of the other two.” He informed.
